One of the most favorite winter varieties of all consumers is the Golden apple. This variety was selected accidentally after crossbreeding Grimes Golden and Golden Reinette.

These apples stand out from other varieties by their round and sometimes slightly conical shape. Golden apples are firm, crispy and white-fleshed.

They are pale green to golden yellow in color and speckled with small spots that cover the surface of the fruit.

With a balanced sweet-tart aromatic flavor, those apples are best to be eaten fresh, but can be easily used for baking as well. Also can be used for juice and cider. If the juice is left for fermenting for a long time, a good apple cider can be made.
